A Bit confused ATV2 and Alcohol

I'm atempting to backup my ATV2 (cool game BTW) PS2 game...BUT I cannot select the PS2 Datatype when trying to image the Disc. In fact I cannot select ANY datatype.

What's wrong

Keep in mind that I have never copied a PS2 DVD in my life.

I have no idea if you are supposed to get any data type options for a DVD-ROM, but I assume that you don't.

You don't need any special settings, it should copy just fine. That is unless it happens to be dual layered.

Now perhaps someone who has actually copied a PS2 DVD game (or even held one) can add some more insight.

Celtic...thanks so much for your responses...I'll let you know how it works out.
I went ahead and copied the game. (I used Alcohol and choose never separate). I should be getting my modded PS2 by Friday this week and will let you know if it works or not. BTW it's a single layer game.

Like the druid and woody, I've never copied one either. However, there are no special datatype settings for dvds with alcohol.

If it's single layered, just copy it and it should work fine (so long as you have a mod chip that is. ;) )

Just an update!

Sorry guys...I have not yet recieved my modded PS2 and won't get it till next Friday!
I promiss to give you an update as soon as I get it!

UPDATE:

Thought I'd let everyone know what's been happening..

Got my Modded PS2
I now have backed up all my PS2 games.
Here's what I have learned...

Yes I have scrapped many DVD-R's!!!
But not anymore...

DVDDecrypter works GREAT!
Alcohol works good too but I prefer DVDDecrypter for DVD-ROM based games.
Princo DVD-R's SUCK! NEVER buying those POS again!!!!!
I've had success with:
Memorex DVD-R
Optodisc DVD-R

Finally,
ALWAYS burn at 1x...When I tried at 2X most did not work!

Hope this helps someone out.
