48/24/48 noisy ??!!

My Plextor PX-W4824TA in Nero Cd Speed test - Access/Seek Times is VERY noisy. This in normal or not ?

I gots one of them and mine is NOT noisy.

Either the media Compact Disc in the drive is unbalanced or the drive’s spinal shaft is suspect. Place a different Compact Disc in the drive and see what happens.

How old is your Plextor 48/24/48 ? If it is still under warranty suggest you contact Plextor and explain your problem and request a replacement.

I JUST noticed for sure CDs in the DVD drive are usually AOK but occasionally an ORIGINAL sounds like it is just hittig all over. Has to be the CD off balance.
