$300 Question.. MB/CPU/CASE

Ok.. here is the most common question in the world. I have a little over $300 dollars to upgrade my computer. I want to spend it on an AMD 1.4 or above processor, a motherboard, case and even some memory if possible.

What are your best suggestions of what and where to buy? I've seen bundles that look like $300 is ok to pull this off.. but the motherboards offered allways suck!

Processors - AMD Athlon Tbird, XP, MP
then look up the XP models (some good cheap athlon XP1500+ & you save when pairing them up with mobos).
Also try the main root:
newegg.com & look for special package deals.
Even if you don't buy from them, can give you a good idea of what to look for & a price range for a local shop maybe.
