2 Pass on TMPEGEnc

I've always used Automatic VBR at various settings with great results. Would using 2 Pass VBR be even better, quality wise?
Time to encode is not an issue for me, I've got 2 computers.

hate having to repeat this again & again, but all the best results you can possibly achieve, are what is explained in the tutorials by our very own ChickenMan.
If it isn't there, not worth tampering with.
Best of luck.

The 2 pass VBR will be better than Auto VBR all others settings being equal. 3 and 4 pass is even better but TMPGEnc cannot do that, 2 is its limit. If your serious about SVCD quality, use DVD2SVCD with 3 or 4 pass VBR.

I'm writting a Tut for this at the moment and will be posted shortly. Watch this space.

what i'm doing is pretty simple.

a 43min (e.g. st tng episodes) svcd won't fit to a 80min crd. so by setting the max bitrate to 2520 the lowest to 1600 and the average to 2250 the resulting svcd file will fit to such a cdr and gives you great quality. i haven't used cce yet. still waitin' for cm's tutorial. yes i know i'm lazy but c. is the best ;)

DVD2SVCD selects the bitrate automatically to be the max to fit onto the CD's your using. So no wasted bits nor playing with numbers.

Tut should be posted by Saturday, if I dont get any more interruptions.:) :D :) :D  ;)

Well its all done but I cant find a download link for good old Cinema Craft Encoder ver 2.50, thats my problem.

Thanks for the reminder ! I must be getting tired or something, and of course doom9 has it. :)

Would like a site with both full version and crack together though. Trying to get it posted at cdrsoft.
