107 firmware

Hi all, can anyone tell me how i chck what firmware version i have installed on my xp pro system for my pioneer 107 i have a copy of a update that i got off the pioneer site.
If i need to install it how do i do it? how do i tell if i need to install it? any advice wellcome.

yes goto google and search for "dvdinfo" no quotes and find and download dvdinfopro its shareware but the trial period should suffice to gain the firmware information

not sure if you mean do you need to install the firmware or not or the program to determine the firmware you have already !?

lets start with the program to determine yes it needs installing

firmware yes or no to install it .. its personal choice down to you

do you really need it !? yes or no !?

most people install the firmware to either a) have region free with their dvdburner/dvdrom or b) to gain extra functionality/better compatibility with medias

the choice like i said is really down to you
