1:1 DVD copies?

I have a Sony DRU500A on the way, and also have DVDXCopy 1.3. If I understand correctly, I should be able to do a 1:1 copy but what is the suggested type of disc and format for doing such a burn? Im sure you can tell that Im new to DVD burning and have searched for the answer to this, but have had no luck, Thx for any help.

Just a quick note m8 dvdxcopy will do it but if its a dvd9 you will need to put it onto 2dvdrs.

yep. its not that good. but its easy.
one of my dvd players plays the discs from this proggy. the other one will only accept dvd-r written as true iso file.
