HELP I have got some avi format clip/video - how do i put them to dvd!!! Thanks

finished creating files into pdi files on my harddisk. But cant get them to the dvd writer?? IC shows my dvd writer in the source section but only my cd writer in destination??? Any ideas whats wrong? the dvd writer does work as used it in other programs know probs! Newbie - Bignose :-)
