I just installed this burner today. I have verbatim 2x data life plus dvd-r's. I'm trying to burn a dvd at 1x, but no matter what program i use it automatically goes to 2x. on another forum a user said he has 1x media and no matter what the burner burns at 2x anyways, which is disheartening...
