I have a new CDR Sony CDRX175e 24X burner. Some cds burn at 16x, some at 12x and others at 8x and 4x. I tried Nero (with latest CDROM.CFG), CloneCD and NTI CD-Maker 6. Same result. I'm not interested in burn at 24x but I need to force 16x. Is that possible?

I tried to rip "L. A. Confidential" region 4 with Smartripper 2.40 and 2.41, DVDDecrypter 2.4x, 3.0 and 3.1 I also tried Vstrip. All got same result: Vob 5 and 6 are locked. I'm using Liteon 16x dvdrom. I tried Windows 2000 and 98. I turned on and off RPC compliant. I don't know what else to do...
