    DVD Types to Record on?

    Hi All, I am new to all of this DVD copys and backups. What would be the best type of DVD to backup my movies on to, so that they can be played on my DVD Player? Is there a big difference between DVD-R and DVD+R? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.
