Been trying to find a "easy" drag and drop proggy like Uleads moviefactory 2
But if the sound is in AC3 on the avi file in dvd moviefactory 2 - it wont accept it (no support).
Anyone know of another proggy for this kind of dvd burning -converting ?
Cheers
Im trying to rip one of my movies.
The movie plays fine on a player, but when i try to rip it i get error reading 1 of the vobs
its the same whatever rip proggy i use.
The DVD is region free - so that is not the prob.
Is there a "vob fixer" proggy out there ??

I know there is a hacked firmware for the Toshiba - and even one for the Pioneer 106 (DVD-/x RW)
But does anyone know of a hacked firmware for the Asus 616 that removes the ripspeed limit ?

Okay - here's the deal.
I cannot choose dma on or off - because i got Intel onboard ide controller (believe me - i tried every trick described in here).

I found the firmware for my Pioneer - that makes it region free and removes Rip...
Right - after reading on the subject - its clear to me that 25 fps in divx is PAL and 29.something is NTSC. Now i also learned that a movie in 23.97 is true dvd framerate - and if i want to convert it to something in dvd2svcd - i should use a option called "Forced Film" or "Forced Frame".
Well...
I got myself the Asus 616 DVD drive - mostly because it has the button "region free" trick.
But the ripping with this drive is awsome slow - i get max 2.2 x speed in ripping - no matter wath ripping prog i use.
And the bios upgrade on asus home page did not work that great either.
anyone got...
I use my pioneer 106 to produce movies on for different firms or private persons
Until now - i have used Ritek medias - and never had any problems.
2 days ago i got a bundle of branded dvd-r 4xspeed of "4COS" medias.
the add said it was tested with pioneer 106 firmware 107 (like mine)
but what...
Well.. got a stockpile of dvd-r (4cos - and thay said they where stable at 4xspeed on pioneer 106 at firmware 107 - blah :( ) - BUT my pioneer 106 would be happy to burn at 3xspeed (according to neros dvd speed mesurement) - but nero only do 2xspeed or 4xspeed - so... is there any software...
