To DMA or not to DMA? Should the DMA box be checked or not for IDE devices. I have heard two different stories but would appreciate the lowdown on whether it needs to be or not and what the results would be.

I use to use clone cd 2821 with my sony crx140 with no problems Recently my harddrive failed and I recently loaded version 3110 with my new harddrive. I now receive "writing to cd failed, hardware error, No additional sense information (4;0x08:0x03) Any pointers would greatly be appreciated.
