Question How to make a backup for PS2

Just want to know if someone could tell me how to make a backup for PS2. I have been trying with no success. And if you need a special chip in your PS2 for it to work or is it possible to make backups that work without putting a chip in your PS2.

      back up ps2

I had the same problem, I did not want to put a mod chip in my ps2 so a little looking round I found what is called a Slide Card Combo and now I can play my back ups.It is simple to use all you have to do is boot up with the CD or DVD that is supplied then eject the disc with a simple tool again that is supplied then install your back up, then your back up will load,I must stress that not all back will play, this is down to the game not the Slide Card Combo.I think for £30 it is well worth it.
I hope that helps you out
p.s. I am no computer wizz kid so if I can do it anybody can

      I heard it is possible

      Hi
i've just been surfing the net looking to backup all my ps2 games.
i noticed that some site was claiming the "multidisk2004" or somthing like that was a complete package that installed a cd burning program and lots of nessercery files that make the backup work!
they sell it for $40 but i feel unsure that the prog is genuine!
I assume they add some kind of safecracker file or somthing to the cd when it burns.
IS THIS POSSIBLE DO YOU THINK? or should i ignore it.
