You can rip out parts of a DVD based game and burn the resulting files to CD-R. Check out my buddy alucard's site www.alucard.cc for rip kits

Hi, I just read your tutorial and found it very helpful but am just wondering does it matter what settings you have set. For example does having remove Macrovision Protection set to Yes or no make any difference?

I have a question as well. I originally tried to use Alcohol 120%, mostly because of it's ps2 database settings, however I was having problems with the program (not being able to select what setting I want, it just doing it automatically) so I gave up.

Anyway...I was curious if DVD Decrypter will backup ps2 games as effectively as the others. I assume it does, but I was just curious since Alcohol 120% has specific settings geared towards ps2 games. If anyone can clear this up, then please let me know. I have some games that have been ruined already, and I would like to backup my good ones now before they get messed up as well. Thanks!

Is the Decrypter image compatible to apply any patches that may be required for the games? If so is there a tutorial for insertion of patches after Decryption?
