Thread: TFM Audio tool and TFM

  1. TFM Audio tool and TFM

There's probably something I'm not getting - but is it possible to use the new audio tool towards the process of making a DVD with TFM?

Is it just standalone, or is there some way of using it with TFM?

  2. You must see TFM Audio Tool as an testing tool for the audio part of the new TFM. So all possibilities will be implemented in the new TFM. To use it with the old TFM you can do that if you are authoring with DVDLab-Pro for example. Then you can use the video from TFM and the audio from TFM Audio Tool.

  4. Strange, I run on Windows 7 64 bit and no problems so different startup icons isn't needed.

Can you upload the file somewhere so that I can test it.

  5. hi Mask, does the development of TFM audio tool mean that future TFM releases won't need ffdshow and other codecs to be installed?

  6. Nope, ffdshow and AC3Filter are also needed with TFM Audio Tool because I use Directshow for getting the audio samples. Then TFM and TFM Audio Tool will process the samples with effects so that the result is what you want. But ffdshow and AC3Filter are not used anymore to do the effects and upmixing. This is done internally.

  7. Mask any timeline on when 2.0 will be available, thanks for all your hard work on a great program.

thanks for the clarification. i was hoping for no codecs, but TFM still rocks.

The audio is almost finished and I'm working on the video part. This all will take a long time and because I'm doing this next to my fulltime job I don't have an estimate. I hope somewhere this year.
