      Unhappy Over-burn problem.

      Hi All,
I think there is a problem with the new release V1.4 regarding disk sizing.
I just finished encoding two movies AVI-To-DVD and set the disk size to- "DVD (DVD-5 4.7GB)", all went OK but when trying to burn the final folder the program (ONES) indicates that there is no available space on the target DVD!
I successfully burn the DVD only with NERO that agreed to over-burn the disk.

Same movies with same configuration of the TFM worked before upgrading to the newest release with no need to over-burn anything!

      What can it be?

      TnX!!

Guess you could use DVD Shrink to knock the size down a bit?!

    3. #3
rendez2k, thanks for replying but that is not point, DVD Shrink is for DVD-TO-DVD process and I'm doing AVI-TO-DVD, in any case, DVD Shrink also take down the quality big time.
I'm almost positive there is a problem with this new release of TFM.

      Any one?

Nothing has changed regarding size. Which encoder did you use with both versions?

      Hi man,
I used "Canopus Procoder" V2 in both cases.
One more remark, I did an upgrade from 1.xx (latest beta) to 1.4 full, without uninstalling or something.

And what happens when You choose a lesser quality at the optionsform on the Canopus Procoder tab?

      Mask,
I will try later today, but I always used "Mastering Quality", didn’t change anything.
Should I try with 2 pass?

      TnX for you time!!

      I have the same problem.
Have tried with two different movies.

      Mask,
I can verify that a lower quality with Canopus didn't helped, same problem.
If you want I can downgrade to an earlier release that worked and try again.

      TnX!

I think it is the problem of Canopus. I tried a little sample with Canopus 2.0 and the same sample with CCE and Canopus gives a bigger result mpg than CCE.

As stated already I have the same problem.
      I have used CCE encoder.
On two different computers I tried 5 different movies.
All result in a too many VOF files (6) which can't be burned.

      Mask,
Spits is right, same happened with CCE...
Very wired situation I must said.

Also I have tried 3 AVI convert to one DVD and couldn't even over-burn this time!! The folder was too big!
Same files conversion and burning were OK in older versions of TFM.
