      CCE Passes

As my first attempt with TFM and QEnc failed instantly with an error message, I decided to give CCE a try. I thought I'd read somewhere a while ago that the number of passes with CCE doesn't relate directly, i.e. 4 passes is only 3 with CCE? Also, is 4 passes overkill or is this just normal quality? Could I save some time with only 2 or 3 passes and not lose much quality?

Are there any plans to add support for CCE/Procoder basic editions (which are more affordable )

i only use 1 pass with CCE 2.50, and i think the quality is good.

I've done a few conversions using always 1 pass and I have to say I'm very happy with the result. Did some tests using 4 passes and didn't notice any substancial improvement.

Maybe, if source has an outstanding quality the number of passes will matter. I don't know...
