      Few sugestions / questions

Hola, i just tested tfm on 2 movies and i'm positivly suprised with the result.
Good quality, everything sync I'm looking for this kind of tool for a while.. but more something like 'winsubmuc' but one that realy works to add subs to a svcd the way subs are added to a divx without the need of converting it to divx first.

      Sugestions :

      - destination size option (I prefer to put 2 movies as dvd on 1 dvd) I do 'have' to pick 2x999mb cd's option now where i used to set a nice bitrate and get a movie around 2Gb wich is easyer to create a dvd from afterwards. Being bound to sized is a bit of a limitation imho.

      - svcd as source file (sometimes ppl 'have' svcd's where they want to add subs on.) (vdubmod+tmpgenc)

      questions :

      - I converted 2 divx movies to svcd now, but i can't use those file with dvd author as it comlains about 'video resolution, aspect ratio, video framerate' as I do believe its dvd author that sux on this point (as my stand alone dvd player plays the files very well) Is there a way to solve this or a work around ? (no i don't want to create dvdr's with just 1 movie on it, as its not very economic (double dvd+dvd box cost + double space occupied

As i do believe that if you would support svcd source aswell + a bit more 'setting options' tfm would be a kick ass program that would sell aswell at least i would want it hardly

If this is possible i would ask other people who want this features to create a 'fund' I mean what if everyone who's looking for this 'buy' it? if 15 people donate 30 euro for it that would make 450 I'm in so 14 left
      gues that must be motivating

For the complaining of DvdAuthor, maybe you can look at the homepage of DvdAuthor on Sourceforge.net. DvdAuthor has a daily mailinglist with all sorts of questions and answers about the program.

2 movies on 1 dvd is a thing I will look at in the near future.

Svcd as sourcefile is not on my to do list so far.

What kind of more settings options?

      Donations are always welcome.

      with (more) options i mean
      - a 'don't split' option so ppl can create a large svcd.. as it more handy to create a dvd with several movies keeping the movies at a whole. I for example like to use 2x2Gb svcds to create a dvd out of it. This feature disables the need of other 'merging' tools.

Cool to hear that more movies to 1dvd is on the todo list

just atm i tried your program and have to say CONGRATS its very nice, and has a lot of potential but as it is now I prefer the old fashion way with vdub frameserver + tmpgenc as my comparison tfm vs vdub/tmgenc is like

+ Kinda all in 1 solution for divx2....
+ Faster 'to start the process' becaus of the srt support, automated audio extraction, etc (the all in one is realy all in one . The time needed to 'start of converting' is reduced to <minute.
      - It takes longer to do the job (divx->subtitles->svcd) but to be honest the comparison on this point is 'unfair' as i allways use tmpgenc with high priority set and i tested tfm on normal priority (need to do the test again with tfm high priority set to have better view on this one.
      - no svcd source support (wich gives lots of extra work svcd->divx->subs->svcd wich is insane and not needed as tmpgenc can do svcd->subs->svcd)

So for me its important that i get my svcd's done also.
When tfm kicks tmpgenc ass of my puter I'll promise to donate on my word of honour. But your ideas are very good and your program has the potential to even succeed kicking tmpgenc ass one day.

But for now i keep an eye on tfm but if you are looking for a mirror.. just pm me
