      Problem with the sound

      Newbie here from Portugal!

Congratulations for the great job with this great program. Very easy to use and very powefull. Let's see if my english is the most correct to expose my problem.

Ok! I've been using tfm to convert my vast collection of divx movies. Because I'm Portuguese, i must use always subtitles, but there is no problems with them. My problem goes only with the sound. I explain: some titles in divx format, especialy concerts doesn't stay with the sound correct. The video is fine, subtitles fine too, but the audio is out of pitch, its too slower... But it is sync with the video. For example, the voice of a child is like a voice of a grandfather, know what I mean? What can I do? I always put the sound at 224 kbs. Should I put the bitrate lower or higher?

      Thank you!

Are you trying to convert 29.97 fps movies to 25 fps. If this is the case then you get this. Only convert 23.976 fps movies to 25 fps.

      Thanks a lot!

You don't mean convert ntsc to pal, right ? Because I already convert a lot of them and works fine.

      One more time, thank you!

23.976 and 29.97 are both NTSC but only 23.976 to Pal works fine.

How do i stop the the sound being encoded in to ac3 when its in 2 channel DD as its getting cracking noises in high action sequences that try to use the rear channels, or is this not possible. The wave output file plays ok. its a pain to recode the sound after, then i get a complaint about bitrate levels to high on my dvd authoring software. when the video and sound are added together.any surggestions would be helpfull
