      FilmMachine install/run problems WinXP SP2

I've d/l the latest non-beta version. The actual install process goes fine but when I click the FM exe to run it, the FM splash screen appears briefly, then nothing. Repeated clicking of the exe = nothing. No program appears.

Uninstalled and reinstalled twice but same problem. Any ideas please.

      Thanks ~ nzo

Please replace the current executable with the latest beta version which you can get at the top of this forum.

Sorry - this didn't and doesn't improve things.

After install, clicking the FM icon does nothing visible other than briefly show the splashscreen. Then after about 2 minutes, the prog interface appears.

Which background processes/programs have you running.

Just Windows Explorer. I used EndItAll to nuke other background apps.

I use an outboard M-Audio Firewire Audio card and the mixer for this appears in my system tray.
