      AVI to AVI+subtitles feature

Is it possible to use The FilmMachine in order to obtain an AVI with integrated subtitles instead a DVD or VCD ? If not, could you add this extra feature to TFM ? Thanks !

As far as I know it is not possible to insert a subtitlestream in an AVI file. Why do you want this, there are many software players that can play an AVI with subtitles, for example BSPlayer and Media Player Classic.

Yes, it is possible to put subtitles into an avi file permanently.
This is useful for playing the movie file in a DVD with divx but without .srt or .sub support, among other uses.
There are some guides available on the net, like http://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/153058.php , but I guess your program could already do that job (or at least with little code changes).
Lot of people should use The FilmMachine just to do this job, trust me.
Hope you check this out :-)

      Thanks !

This is not the purpose of my program. It is to create (S)VCD and DVD and not AVI-files. There are other programs to do that.

OK, it's fine if you wanna keep TFM as AVI to SVCD/DVD, but I think there's no software available to burn subtitles into an avi file as far as I know.
Bye and keep up the good work!

In the link you suggested it is stated that you can use TMPGEnc for this. Only change the output to AVI.
