CCE star but dont read TFM_Project_File.ecl and froze the program.
I try with CCE 2.50 and 2.66 with same error.

Are you by any chance running Windows XP and put The filmmachine in Windows 98 compatible mode?

I had a result like yours, because I tried this solution for making the program run on a Pentium4 machine (I wasn't at that time aware of the 1.4 beta).
When I installed the beta the program still wouldn't work in the encoding part. I could load the .ECL file munually in CCE, but then the coumputer would almost crash.
After several tries I found out that the shortcut on my desktop was set to Windows 98 mode.
My solution was to run the filmachine in "normal" Windows XP mode and install Beta 1.4.

      regards
