subtitle problem....help please.

how many characters per line can i put???? 38 or 40
can you set spumux to define the subtitle line a lite longer????
i use in portuguese language the font arial size 28 and some times the film machine if the line as 40 characters puts 3 lines insted of 2 lines.
i belive the problem is spumux....because when i used dvd-lab pro for authoring the subtitles are fine.

I really don't know what the length of the subtitle lines should be. Maybe you can use Subtitle Workshop for this. It can show lines that are too long.

You can also ask the developer of Spumux. He has a mailinglist for DVDAuthor and all programs it uses. You can find it at his website.
