      Burning Problem

I recently downloaded version 1.3 to burn some movies to DVD. When I try to burn to a 4.7gb DVD, regardless of which encoding codec I use, it doesn't do anything after initializing. I get this screen:

      --------------------------------------------------------
      - 10/24/2004 7:08:41 PM
      - AVI to DVD conversion
      - The FilmMachine version 1.3
      --------------------------------------------------------
      Initializing.
      Initializing finished.

and nothing more. I found that it does work when I select the "Don't burn DVD" option, but instead of creating an image or putting the files in a format that is appropriate for burning manually, it seemed to only add the subtitles to the file and do nothing more. It seems to work when I set the disc size to 800MB SVCD, but I only let it start to see if it would go, which it did.

To make things stranger, it works when I tried version 1.2 (which didn't like my subtitle file, so 1.3 is my best hope). I have Nero 6.6.0.0 Bundled installed, am running Windows XP Pro w/SP2, and an AMD Athlon XP 1700. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      EDIT/UPDATE:

I removed Nero 6.6 and installed 6.3.1.25 and it now works. It also added in an option for me to choose a DVD-RW drive, which wasn't there before. I guess that the program is not compatible with 6.6.

You are right about that it works with version 6.3 and up.

I never heard of version 6.6 yet. I don't see it on the Nero website, are you sure it is Nero 6.6. Please send me the link to it.

Ahead just put the updates to 6.6.0.1 up on their page today. I must have downloaded a leaked version.

      Hello,
I've also upgraded to version 6.6.0.1 from nero but the filmmachine does not accept this version.

I will check version 6.6 out when I get back from my business trip. This should be the end of the week.
