Disc at once error?

I've been trying to learn to download and burn movies, with little (no) success. I used the Film Machine and it converted an AVI, but when it came to burning it, I got an error "Could not perform start of Disc-at-one" and it aborted. Here is the log:

What kind of DVD-burner do you have and does it support writing disc-at-once?

You can also burn the DVD folder with ImgTool Burn

My DVD burner is a MicroAdvantage DVD+/- model #8DVDRW-B13, 8x, 2MB buffer. Does't say anything about Disc-at-once. How do I find out? Also, can you give me instructions to burn with the IMG burner?

I will look into it why it doesnot work with you, has to do something with the following message:

Maybe you can check the Nero site for compatibility with your burner.

You can run ImgTool Burn and select your options. Then select the created DVD folder (created with TFM) as DVD root, like "c:\program files\the filmmachine\output\dvd" or something like that. Then burn baby burn.

Nero says that they support all DVD drives after 1997 or 99, I can't remember which. Any way, I updated my DVD driver with the latest patch and am trying again. We'll See?

Well its pretty clear for me that your burner is not supported..
So go to nero and download the latest version of nero and try to make a test cd and dvd...If it again fails it means as i said that your drive is not supported..So send a email to nero support and tell them the specs ofr your drive if they can try to support in a one of the next versions
I doubt it will happen becouse your email.but you should try anyway..
So try some other software like bao ,juggler,nti,ones...until you find a software which will support it
Those things happen,for example i got a lg48x burner&16x dvd reader combo and while i would like to use a bao as my default audio-data solution i cant couse bao doesent support a multissession disks creation for my burner..???

Also their support forum is excelent ,its free for private use so doesent hurt to try at all.Its a excelent audio-video solution and for example it have support for all lossy and lossless audio files straight out of box
Totally forget about media..Did you try with a few different brands of cd-dvd??You should try that first
Get some good qyallity disks like verbatim,ritec,tdk

In my next version I implemented a setting that the Booktype is not automatically set to DVD-Rom. So maybe then it will work with your burner. Uptill then try the above.

I got a DVD burned, The Film Machine said DVD burn completed. I pop the DVD into my drive, same as on my home player, and i only get about 3 seconds of the opening shot. There are six video files total of 133 mb. What's up? i am getin closer, though.

First part says that you have installed at some time Crooxio Easy CD/DVD or Media Creator. Shame on you... Did you expect to come clean after that?
Th Prassi driver (pxhelp20.sys) can be there even if you never toyed with any genuine Prassi product, e.g. Winamp 5 pro installs that driver, and Nero 6 doesn't like it (in most systems).
