because the latest beta, when I run it, it stays on the welcome screen, and makes my computer unstable. I didn't have such a problem with the previous betas.

I had the exact same problem, my setup is almost like yours except for a 3.6 ghz instead of the 3.2... It's the heat issue for sure. I bought a "arctic freezer 7" cpu cooler and it solved the problem. I got a lot more detailed information about the problem, feel free to mail me if u want it.

I just dowloaded the latest beta, but found no VDubMod in the package, is this done on purpose?
I mean, I can certainly "stitch" the .avi files together anyhow!
Just kinda curious.
Best regards and loads of thank you's for the best free software all categories!
And by the way someone was looking for CCE 2.50.
PM me and i'll give you a couple hints!
Gazoo
VirtualDub is not needed anymore. Avi muxing is now done trough Avisynth scripting.

But I always thought it was kind of practical to have it there, since sometimes when i join .avi's they come in different sample rates.....
and Vdub/mod is a good tool to correct this with.
By the way thanks for the swift answer!!!
And i really appreciate Avisynth scripting, my point being that VDub is in my opinion an extremely versatile tool.
Kind of nice to get so many valuable tools when downloading TFM so I was sad to see it go.
But on the other hand it IS freeware, and what's the point in distributing something that is so easy to get hold of anyway!!!
Again many thanks Gazoo

That is the reason that it is not included anymore. But on the other hand it IS freeware, and what's the point in distributing something that is so easy to get hold of anyway!!!

Hi,long time lurker first time poster...first of all i wanna say i just love this program, been using the stable version for a while now.
Yesterday was my first chance on using the latest Beta version,i used the exact same settings as i used on the stable version (i did clean install),but for some reason, the final output size is less then 3GB.
Its a 1h48m long avi movie,4 passes CCE 2.50 to DVD5,perm subs, didnt had any errors while converting or anything....i do remember that movies that were aprox the same time,on the stable version the size was more then 4GB.
Anyone else having this kind of a problem?
I dont have a problem with the final quality, but it had more then 1GB of space on a DVD5,so the quality could have been a lot higher.
Thanks![]()

Ive had a problem with TFM that deals with FPS. Im using the latest beta of TFM but ive run into the same issue with the latest official release as well. CCE 2.67, 3.2ghz cpu, 1gb ddr 3200.
Anyhow, whenever I encode an avi for use on a dvd (svcd), i need to convert pal to ntsc. Whenever I do this the file always ends up being to big for DVD5 output. Usually by something like 300mb or something in that range. Any ideas or explanations? Anyone else have this problem. I've reinstalled everything more than once to make sure that wasnt it. Ive also formatted my OS to make sure there wasn't some mistake there also.
Most of the time you don't have the right DirectX filter installed.
