      1) I don't see any error about the ffdshow value!!
      2) You are right about the quality of Procoder but the problem is that Procoder has a bug in it when there are action scenes. Also it has a big problem under Vista with recognizing framerates in Avisynth scripts.
      3) Like I said I don't know any encoder yet that supports quadcore.
      4) The standard for DTS audio on DVD is either 768 kbit or 1536 kbit and not another kbit. I don't really understand your problem here.

      Many Thanks.
Can you give me the width and height of the source files so that I can show you the aspect calculations that are made by TFM.

I meant that, on the previous TFM versions, the program would let me choose more than 640 kbits, to take advantage of the higher DTS bitrate. When I saw the changelog, I thought that it would be possible to keep the DTS...Or choose 640 kbits, and now I receive standard DD 5.1@448 kbits...Can u provide more info about the Provoder bugs, what exactly are they?

Why don't you keep the DTS source then or encode it to DTS to keep the hight DTS bitrate. Why do you want to encode it to AC3 when TFM has the option to encode it to DTS or keep the DTS.

I only know the bugs that I have mentioned to you, I normally always use CCE for encoding (because it always works).

This exactly what I am asking for, how can I keep the DTS with TFM?And, about Procoder, when encoding x264 to DVD, it beats the retail DVD in terms of quality, I have many retails, and I tried some comparison...

    6. #921
When your source has DTS audio and you don't do a framerate conversion then the DTS audio is only extracted. When you want to do a framerate conversion then you can choose Surcode DVD DTS Encoder to encode to DTS audio. You only have to install Surcode DVD DTS Encoder and give TFM the path to the executable (is not installed with TFM because this is commercial software).

Under Windows XP x264 will convert correctly to dvd with procoder but in some cases (don't ask me which) under Vista Procoder can't handle avisynth scripts correctly.

Can you also post the *_Movie_Info.log from the TFM output directory so I can see the sizes TFM uses.

Since posting I've tried encoding with canopus procoder 3 and it works fine, thanks for the reply's.

In your case the width = 1440 and height is 798. This gives a aspect ratio of : 1440/798 = 1.80 and not 2.35 (don't know where it gets that from, that is why I want to see what TFM detects).

When the aspect ratio is 1.80 TFM automatically sets the aspect ratio to 16:9 and then encodes in Fullscreen. You can change that if you want.

TFM will encode the source movie with no borders (Fullscreen) and resizes the source movie to the DVD standard (PAL: 720 x 576 or NTSC: 720 x 480)

After 2 sleepless nights in a row I found that the Mainconcept Reference Encoder would hit 85% load on a quad core cpu.It looks like its quakity is poor and is no match to Canopus Procoder 3...Mask, will you take a look at it, and see if it is worthy to implement it?

I will check it out (I saw that it can handle commandlines, that's a pro). Thanks.

What should this mean, and what is the good about this, you said that is a pro...CCE and Procoder, can they handle commandlines? And try to see if I am right, compare the quality, please.I try to be supportive with what I can do and push TFM versability forward and forward.

The good thing about is that TFM can automate it. CCE and Procoder als accept commandlines.

I will test it and thanks for the tip.
