Try it with CCE 2.67.0.23.
If you open the Avisynth Script file *.avs with Mediaplayer what do you see then?
Can you see the preview?

Uninstalled and then then reinstalled AVISynth V.5.27 that I downloaded from source forge, then I uninstalled and reinstalled CCE SP2.
I tried to encode an .avi file and got the same result.
I noticed in the log file that CCE runs for less than 2 minutes!
Try it with CCE 2.67.0.23.

When I open either .avs file I see the same error message that I see in the .vob file....AVISOURCE:the video decompressor couldn't produce YUY2 or RGB output (D: Movie 20\TFM AVISYNTH SCRIPT 1 File avs, line2).
I tried to encode a file using CCE 2.67.0.23 and when the CCEFront\work_div_Voo1_roba_tst.ecl screen appears it throws an error message "Frame Size 752x56 is not supported. Supported frame size is up to 720x576" To get past this you have to close down TFM.
PS: I went back to the TFM 1.5.4 w/ CCE 2.67 and encoded a file successfully, that should eliminate the possibility of something wrong with my system.

Which codecs do you have installed. It seems that you don't have the right codecs. Do you have ffdshow installed?

After uninstalling my previous TFM and codecs, etc, and cleaning my registry, I installed TFM 1.6.0.4beta, CCE 2.67.00.23, and K-Lite 3.25full.
When installing K-Lite, it asked if I wanted to uninstall ffdshow (which would have come with TFM). I said no, and it continued to install the other codecs, etc.
However, when running TFM, I get an error window almost immediately after pushing "Make DVD". The message says: "The operation cannot be performed because the pins are not connected".
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
The avi is a ntsc video I want to change to PAL DVD. The video comp. is DivX 4, and the audio comp. is MPEG-1 Audio layer 3. If I ignore the error message and allow TFM to continue, the resultant DVD has a video that is distorted 45deg. ie everything is leaning approximately 45deg.
BTW, when installing K-Lite, I didn't get a chance to not install Morgan Multimedia Stream Switcher like Joshua1964 advises, but I can't find it anywhere, so maybe it's not in this latest K-Lite version.
Sorry if I am posting in the wrong thread. Just had a question about anamorphic videos. In the filmmachine both options for wide screen are crop or add borders but keep aspect ratio. Is there a way to convert anamorphic on the filmmachine so it turns out like a regular wide screen vid and doesn't look stretched out vertically? Thanks!
Not a big deal, but noticed that with the latest beta, the boost audio is no longer auto-checked with an AC3 source
And it makes encoding twice? It finishes its passes, and ask for saving changes, and restarts encoding?Thats why I use old tfm versions...I installed the last because of the 5.1 upmix, but it does not work
I installed TFM 1.6.0.4beta and CCE 2.7.00. Everything works fine, but the resulted DVD have image much darker than the source. I used as source a dvdrip avi file and a hdtv avi file. On both sources image is excellent. What can be the problem?
Thank you

Upmix to 5.1 does NOT work with either Afren or Softencode-the result is no sound, or partial sound?!This is with the latest beta and K-lite full, newest version...
Upmix is experimental and it seems that it is not working on every computer. Better not use it.

Well, I got a serious piece of hardware here...2 X 4 GHz, 2GB DDRII @ 1125 MHz, Creative Audigy 2ZS (best sound card ever), 2 X 320 GB SATA II... What do you mean "It doesn`t work on every PC"-is is occasionally, randomly, by luck?
I don't know why yet. I am investigating it.

Using TFM v1.6.0.4, this error occurs during CCE encoding, with both CCE 2.50 and a newer version. A 2gb TFM_Enc_Video1.oversz.mpv is produced as CCE does run for a while before the error. I have tried using two different avi files, same error both times, at the same point in the encoding process.
Reinstalling TFM + Ffdshow/Avisynth does not resolve the issue.
I installed TFM 1.5.4 and this solved the problem. It appears to be an issue within v1.6.0.4 (but perhaps only with my hardware).
