I found trouble with the latest build of ffdshow also. You better downgrade to the 24-11-2005 or 29-11-2005 build.

As you can see there is no info about skipping audio data...
But when audio extraction starts it counts from 0 to 24min 45 s, wait a while, and skips to 1h 02 min 15 s, works fine with 25 min of movie and leaves...

      Please help me...
You should try to uninstall the current version of ffdshow and downgrade to the 24-11-2005 version of ffdshow.

      Problems with audio bitrate

It seems that any time i change the bitrate of the audio in the bitrate calculation screen above the default, the program just unloads/crashes when besweet begins.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Also i have The Film Machine options set to use Soft Encode rather than besweet but it seems that it never initializes at all. It's Soft Encode version 1.00.

The audio bitrate of the AVI file is 80 kbps at 48 Khz Wave Codec: Mpeg 1/3 L3

Where can I find this verified version of FFDshow? I was trying with newer version too and had same audio troubles.
Unfortunatelly I able to convert less movies now...

      Greetings

well i got the audio problem fixed, but now it seems as thought none of my projects can be previewed. The Film Machine just hangs when i try to preview a SVCD at any bitrate. HELP!?!

Also is there any way to get my projects on more than one disc? I'm using cinema craft SP 2.7 and no matter how many discs i ask for it always puts it on one. Is this because it's a trial version?

That is a very low audio bitrate. Maybe that is your problem.

For the Soft Encode. There are different versions arround and some don't work good. So you have to have the correct version that is out there.

Trial version should not matter. I will check it out.

I´m using this new version 1.5.0.18 and CCE 2.67.00.23 without any problems with FDDSHOW or anything else.

      Great job The Mask.

I think that many people have trouble with this and others programs because they are using CodecPacks that install a lot of trash.
I prefer to install only the essencial codecs like Divx Pro, Divx 3 Alpha, Xvid and AC3 Filter. I use to install too WM9Codecs from MS and Ogg.

      Exclamation I think I found a bug

      Hi there,

First I want to say that your program is great. It's so easy to use and it works every time.

The problem I having occured with this version (version 1.5.0.18) and the version before this version. It concerns the audio of the converted AVI's.
When I play the AVI the sound is good, no weird sounds or something.
But when the AVI is converted to DVD the sound is crap. It doesn't matter if I raise the KBPS of the sound. 192 kbps has as much background noise as 312 kbps. With the first version I used, I think it was 1.5.0.15, I didn't have this problem.

      Do you know what's wrong?

      Greetings,

      Jop

      Try unchecking the BOOST option.

You can also adjust the audio directly in ffdshow when audio conversion starts.
on your taskbar ...Go to ffdshow audio decoder..click richt FFDSHOW AUDIO
      Volume..
I set it at 125 % and most of the time it sounds very nice.
