Roadworker is right. With beta versions you only have to overwrite the existing files with the one in the archive. So don't uninstall TFM.
If there is a release of a new version you have to uninstall TFM before installing the new version.

Thanx for the information Roadworker en The Mask!!! Before The Filmmachine i used several programs to encode my divx films, en the result was poorly...Frames stuttering in the background and also the people in it! with tfm the mpeg version was identical to the original...Also the menu's from tfm are easy en friendly to work with...
incredible piece of software...(thx Mask) were not worthy were not worthy!!!
Looks like you "the creator of the filmmachine" and "the creator of D.I.K.O have some commercial competition with DivxtoDVD VSO Software
You said it yourself "commercial". It is free for now but at the end users must pay for it. By the way it uses avcodec.dll which is open source (Also used by QuEnc and some other free encoders). Why let users pay for something the builder of DivXToDVD has not developed??
The quality is still poor and there are a lot of features that are not available which are available in The FilmMachine.
Conclusion: Don't think it is competition yet.

I have a question.. having just installed Canopus Procoder 2,0... in filmmachine i go to options and then choose path..then in the bottom you search for c-procoder..is it the desktop shortcut item? (snelkoppeling)
or the proggram (witch file i don't now) have to choose?..
dom question i now..but there are so many files..en i don't won't to go wrong! thanks..thanks..thanks..thanks..thanks djie my record is stuck!!!
Surely your desktop shortcut points to the correct file to run. The FilmMachine needs to point to the same file as your shortcut does.

"I think that the problem lies in the fact that you choose only one SVCD but there have been 2 files created. Sometimes due to Variable Bitrate you can not calculate exactly what the cd-size is. Here it went wrong.
I will fix it in the next version so that the image will created without the errors".
Is this image problem fixed in the beta version?
Hi!
I'm a new user of TFM and for me it seems a great tool to converting DivX to DVD.
I tried to use the alpha version, and used de free codec to encode the movie.
I also checked the option to delete temporary files. So far so good. But when the encoding process finnished, i got a DVD folder, with the 2 folders (Audio and Video TS) as i should, but with no files inside de Video TS folder.
I hope you could help me with this. Thank you.

Heybud!!
Cant help with your problem, but just to remind you that the encoder you used is at least infererior to other supported encoders for tfm.
I did tons of encoding with dvd2svcd and few with filmmashine-all with cce sp2.50 and they were all great...
Quenc will be ok probably soon but it aintthere yet![]()

Pc specs;p4,xp-sp2,2Gb ram,nec nd-3540A 16 x speed,revo7.1 audio card,,dsl 5mb down-1 mb up
This info is posted in case i run into some pc problems which is happening relatively often...lol
Thank's Zver. I tried one time cce sp2.50 but the final movie displays a logo of the creator of CCE SP. Do you know any way to "overtake" this logo.

Finally i made it. I download a full version of CCE SP and uncheck the box to delete the trmporary files to save space in disk.
Thank's anyway!

Okay so THE_MASK, when are you going to release a new version. No rush dude, release when you want, but i was just wonderin on an ETA. I mean in my version, i cannot combine two avi's that have different bitrates. I mean, i downloaded a two part avi file, and i assumed they had the same bitrate, but just when it was about to reach the virtualdubmod screan, "BUMPH" error, cannot merge files or something, because of two different bitrates.
I can't help that, that is an error from the maker of the avi's. You can easily solve this by using VirtualDub and decompress the audio of both avi's. For the video you can use directstreamcopy and for the audio full processing mode, then save the avi's with a new file name. After this try again with TFM.
