virtualdub gave me a no mp3 decoder found
gspot showed ok, also the movie plays fine in wmp
tried a bunch of codecs to no avail.
Ended up extracting the audio with goldwave, then joined the .avi and .wav with virtualdub and used that in tfm.
also I'm using cce 2.70.02.01. No matter what i select in options for passes it always does 5.

Post the *.ecl file from a conversion with less than 5 passes.

I take it back. It doesnt always do 5, just 1 pass more then I select
so its not a big deal, just cant do 1 pass encodes
-ecls from 1 and 4 pass selected, which did 2 and 5
That is correct. It always creates a *.vaf file first and then make the amount of passes you chooze. This vaf file is needed for CCE to put data in.

I will look at it, but can you post the *Avi_Info.log file, so that I can see which audio your avi source has.

I'm not sure for TFM program but for XP you should double that ram.
I recommend at least 512 for XP.![]()
indeed but for encoding etc at least 1GB makes the job a lot easier.I recommend at least 512 for XP

If you where to put your PC side by side with a slower processor with more ram you may be surprised to see which PC ends up being faster.Originally Posted by ciberghost
