      The end is missing

      Hi again!
When my AVI movie has been through TFM, about 10 min. is missing in the end. I can see that when i look through the original. Anybody who knows why the end is missing(ver. 1.3)? Everything is perfect exept the last 10 min. is missing...
      Please help!
      Thx

Are you using a FAT32 drive for your work directory?

      Thx for your replay
      How can i find out?
Could that give me problems if it is FAT32??

Yes, it wil give you trouble.

FAT32 has a 4GB limit. TFM does not verifies this, so when encoding stops because the 4GB limit was reached, TFM will cintinue and create a DVD missing some minutes at the end (that portion between the 4G and the 4.37 or whatever it would be)

Look at the properties of the drive you're using. It will show thw file system FAT or NTFS. You must use a NTFS drive.

      Cheers

It also could happen if you uses QuEnc as encoder. On some computers this program cause framedrops and with the muxing of the audio and video the muxer stops when there are too many framedrops.

I always use CCE, in my opinion still the best encoder. I use version 2.50 and 2.67.

@soon-daddy CCE IS NOT FREE and there are NO FREE versions only a limited trial version that watermarks the resulting conversions with a logo in the corner of the end product

its pretty cheap compared to other software to purchase and gives great results

I bought the current version of CCE (v2.69). And it is not compatible with DVD2SVCD.
The trial version apparently IS compatible, but the watermark of the trial version is intolerable. I spoke with the vendor, CCE 2.5 is no longer available. Their tech support also sucks. The only support you get is talking to Japs via their email.
CCE 2.5 you will have to find another source for it.

2.5 also has the watermarking unless purchased

OK, I'm trying that. I've converted the hard drive to NTFS.
For those of you that want to convert your hard drive's,this is how:

If you choose not to convert your file system to NTFS while installing NT, you can still upgrade to NTFS using CONVERT.EXE.
For example, if you want to convert your FAT file system on your drive C to NTFS:
      Go to "Command Prompt"
      Type:
      CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS
      Press ENTER
