      Testers wanted for Hyperthreading problem

      Hi guys,

I updated all the components that my program uses and which are from other developers to the latest versions. Maybe this will solve the P4 HT bug.

You only have to check if my program starts. You can get it here.

If it still does not work please try the following:

It seems the last version which worked on P4 HT machine was 0.9.9, so I uploaded non-released versions 0.9.9.5 and 0.9.9.6 (only the executables). Please test these versions if they start. If one of them does than I can see what the changes are between this version and the one that don't start.

      Thanks in advance.

      Hi,

I ran the executable file within "The FilmMachine 1.3 updated components.rar". The program opened although it complained about not being able to find a non-existent file (alienplanet.jpg) in "my downloads". I have not been able to open either versions 1.2 or 1.3 before. I hope this helps a little. Thanks for your efforts.

By the way, I am running a 2.8ghz prescott processor w/hyperthreading enabled.

Thanks, this is very promising. About the alienplanet.jpg that is normal because you don't have the full version. if you install the full version 1.3 and then overwrite the old executable with the one with the updated components it should work completely.

I used tfm 1.3 a week ago for the first time with no problems except for a subtitle failure. I have an asus p4p800 deluxe mb with p4 3.06 cpu with hyperthreading enabled. If tfm has a problem with HT, it didnt occur in my system.

The subtitle problem ( selective subtitle not showing in finished movie even with subtitles option enabled in players) would not have anything to do with HT, Ill try it again another time.

Thanks, if the subtitle problem occurs again please send me the log files and the original and created subtitlefile.

And it did work without error. Very nice program and easy to use. Thank you.
