      hello

      don't panic
      just try this
right click to theFilmMachine.exe (or the shortcut exe file) and make it compatible with windows98 and it will work fine

      ciao

      Hyper-threading no go?

The Film Machine will run in Win98 'compatability mode' but locks up my PC after about 15% conversion. This is a Pentium 4 3.4GHz/800fsb/HyperThreading. Works perfectly on a 64 bit Athlon though! I tried every version The Mask has written and none of them work with the Pentium. All the individual programs (BeSweet, etc) work fine 'standalone'. Great pity as the Pentium4 system is much faster than the Athlon 64 system. Anyone had any luck with a P4?

      Hello Dimestos

Is your p4 a real 3.4 or is it overclocked
if overclocked ... disable all overclockings (you can keep the hyper-threading)and TFM will work much better...

      Ciao

      P4 Ht

Pukkah P4 3.4GHz HT and not overclocked - running bog standard. Version 1.3 runs in Win98 mode but goes tits-up when encoding the video starts - can't find the script file. Loaded manually it continues encoding but invariably locks up or crashes after a while. Perhaps code for HyperThreading P4s need compiling differently? Just a thought... I'm using WinAVI on the Pentium system - not as good but works (and is VERY quick).
