      Question CCE SP 2.66 hangs

A great program u made there! Only I got one problem.. When I'm making a PAL-DVD out of my NTSC-DIVX all goes fine, untill it needs CCE SP 2.66, suddenly the 2 programs hang and I have to close 'em with ctrl-alt-del...

Someone got any idea to fix this?

    2. #2
did you check if your avi's has some errors in it ?
      do a google for divfix
      just to b sure

    3. #3
Yes i did now, and it didn't find any errors.
I've also tryed QuEnc, but that gave another error, forgot to write down what it was tho

As a general comment, CCE version 2.66 would have to be the worst and most unstable version of CCE ever made. I'd suggest a downgrade to version 2.50, its stable as a rock and works.
      Cheers,
      CM

      ok, tnx.

I've tryed it with 2.5 now, and it only creates a few DVD files of 520mb in total And when I play these files the screen is black with 2 red lines at the bottom, and I hear the sound of the movie...

Anyone knows what I can do about this?

      Look at this thread:

      http://www.dvdrbase.com/showthread.php?t=40911

It is a codec problem, you don't have the right codec installed.

But now I have another question...

I did movie X and it finnishes fine, but when I play the DVD the last ~10 mins aren't in the movie. I tried it two times, with the same result...

      Any ideas?

      Yes, these are correct.

What I think is that the multiplexing of the audio and video is the blame.

      Normally this :

Mplex is multiplexing the video and audio stream.....

So I think it is a memory issue. You can try to shut down some programs that are running in the Background.

ok, i've tryed it again with every possible program turned off, and now the movie is even shorter

Can't it be that there is too less disk space? Cause I get a warning for that when I start the conversion. But when it's finnished I have about 3 gigs free...

what is the advised ammount of diskspace to be free when converting to a DVD?

If you have selected "Delete temporary file" then the minimum is 10 gb, else it should be about 20 gb.
