  2. Slow Audio Problem with v1.4 & Solution.

    Greetings to all.

I have discovered this worderful utility a few days ago. My criterion was (of course) to find an AVI->DVD converter which would work with CCE. Very nice job, Mask!

I have encountered a problem. Sorry if this is reported before - I've searched the threads and I didn't find anything similar.

    I use TFM v1.4 with CCE 2.7.02.0.
I feed TFM with 2 AVI's, 16:9, NTSC documentaries of NOVA (string theory). I set it up to do a NTSC->PAL conversion. On the final DVD, I saw that the sound was about 30% slower that the original - BUT in sync with Video... The extracted audio files (.wav, etc) are fine, but the generated .ac3 is sloooow!

If I don't do an NTSC->PAL conversion, everything is fine.

No big deal for me, my DVD players & TV can play NTSC streams fine. Just keep it in mind...

Nice work Mask! Very nice work! I will test it with some more AVI's and then, you will certainly see me at the cashier!

    Regards,
    Thanasis
    GREECE.

  3. I think your source avi has a framerate of 29.97 fps. If this is the case then this causes the sloooow ac3. You can only do a NTSC to PAL conversion when the source avi has a framerate of 23.976. The gap between 25 and 29.97 fps is to big to convert.

  4. Hello Mask.

Yes, the AVI has the framerate you mention.

I thought this would work as it works in other similar apps (i.e. Nerovision).
But, no big deal. I am very happy anyway

annyone know why?please answere here.thanks verry much!!!!!!

  6. Two things, you should only do a framerate conversion NTSC to PAL with an Avi source that has a framerate of 23.976 and not 29.97 (The gap between 25 fps and 29.97 fps is to big).

Second you should try to use CCE 2.67.0.23. On some computers CCE 2.50 is not working correct.
