Mmmm...not sure if it's the right answer, but maybe a problem with 98SE.Most testing has been done with XP and Windows 2000.

Oh...and welcome to the forum! Thanks for the feedback! The software is still in it's infancy,as you know. The developer will be joining up here soon to answer questions you may have.

On my computer the progressbar also stops responding sometimes (I think a windows issue) but the minutes are still running. If that is the case on your computer then there is nothing wrong (You can also check the output directory, if the filesize of the encoded audio is changing). If this is not the case please post the TFM_Encoded_Audio.log

      Thank's for the reply(s).

Ok....I just tried again with same results.
The pgm is not responding. The "minutes" stop moving & the filesize of the encoded audio is not increasing.Everything stops @ 50%.

I sure hope this can be fixed.

Here are some of the log files:

If the AVI has internal problem (unfortunately common) then be it video encodiong or audio processing, the program (and all others as well) will simply crash.

Try another AVI and see if the problem persists.

I would never post possible bugs on the base's of one file. But I suppose that happens since the advice was to try another avi file.

      I guess this pgm,while a good start,need's some more work.I'll be checking back now & then for,hopefully,further updates (i have ver 1.2).

      Hi,

You are the first one with this error, so maybe BeSweet.dll has a conflict on your machine. From the logfile I can see that the first pass (finding maximum gain) is causing the problem. Maybe you can try to make a VCD because then the transcoding takes place immediately (no finding maximum gain). If this fails maybe the log file has some more answers than the one you have now.

I tested a lot of AVI's but never run into your problem. So I find it very strange.

After reading your post I was motivated to continue looking for a way to not be "the first one with this error".

I uninstalled your pgm,re-booted,& re-installed TFM.I also deleted the avi files I'd tried with TFM & re-installed them.

I ran TFM again & used the avi files I had tried before.

TFM ran without any trouble at all & did an excellent job with ALL my avi's.
It's quite possible the problem I was having originated on my end & not TFM's.

At any rate I'm just glad to have everything working.
