      subtitle problem

      hi guys,

great program BTW...........only subs don't seem to work for me?

when i click on them to include subs and load the subs file (.sub) the radio icons for permanent or svcd are still greyed out.

the subs are ok as they play fine in media player classic with the vobsub plugin.

i did try a conversion anyway but no subs are included.

      any ideas guys?
      i was using version 1.1
i am d.loading 1.2 now and i will try again.

      cheers

      just an update guys...........

      i have d.loaded and installed 1.2

exact same prob.........but when i switch output to dvd it lets me alter subs. (i was trying to make an SVCD)

i guess you can't use subs for SVCD with this proggy? that wouldn't be that hard to implement would it?

also when converting to dvd i would love to be able to choose a custom output size......this way i could make a few mpgs and create a multi movie for myself.

but maybe we need a suggestion thread?

      what do you guys think?

      i might start one anyway

      cheers

Have you tried with SRT subtitles? try to convert your SUB to SRT, works like a charm. I did some movies and all with subtitles (with SRT subtitle files).

You can put subtitles in SVCD, but only permanent ones. So just click Use Subs, load the srt or sub file and change some settings if you need to, normally you don’t need to. Finally run the conversion process. It works for me and for a lot of other people.

Maybe your sub file contains errors.
