Post The Most Impressive Game Video Effects

Flashlight effect in Nocturne is one of the best I've seen and the game is years old.

The water and lighting effects in Aquanox are amazing.

The character textures in Max Payne are very lifelike.

Lightsaber effects in Jedi Knight II are very nice!

I'd like to hear what others have seen. I have a GF4 TI4600 and I would be interested in what eye candy I can try out.

Some of the most amazing textures and lighting effects I have seen are in a game called "Undying". The environments are intricately detailed, as realistic as they come. It's a great FPS with a cool story that makes it a quasi role-playing game. Also, it has the most amazing AI I have seen, on par with Half Life: Oppsoing Force, if not better.

Yep, Undying was an amazing game that really never found an audience despite being one of the most unique first person shooter games. It's used a tweaked version of the Unreal engine, which is amazing in its own right.

Unreal 2003 is absolutely the most beautiful game if you have a late model video card like the Geforce 4. It is so realistic at times that you begin to wonder where reality really ends. The entire game is just amazing!
