Not really Poko and Mal, just the same mistake the brazilian coach made in 1990. A wonderfull team in the Copa Amerika 89, really a good team that could be compared to the last great brazilian team of 82 (WOW what a team, Socrates, Falcao, Junior, Zico And company). But as always the money had more weight and the coach make them play defensive, same mistake with Argentina. When they woke up it was already too late.

      Cheers,

      El_Matador

PS: Mal cual es tu favorito para volverse campeon? El mio ya sabes cual es (hehehehe ).

      soccer mimics life so well.
You hesitate & play deffensively too much, you lose. Gotta take chances sometimes.

      PS (for de spanish)
japon va ganar! jajajaja. Viva japon!!!!! lol
Pero creo que brazil tiene la mejor suerte ahora (pero uno nunca sabe)

      I agree Shadoe,

A good example was the match between France and Portugal in the Euro 2000. About Spain, I don't know, I think they finaly showed what they can do in the wolrd cup. Are you latin or just spanish speaking ?

      Cheers,

      El_Matador,
I am mixed spanish (mother from Argentina), father (mixed french/japanese).
My teams generally are Holland & Argentina & Germany. But am glad that Japan is at least doing ok =) (show the world that even small players can do well lol*note that I am not small though lol).

Italia es un equipo que puede ganar contra los mejores equipos, pero al mismo tiempo perder contra los peores.

hahaha, ya true mal, I was going to edit & put that in after I already posted, but I knew someone else would mention it =).
That's what's making this cup pretty exciting in a way ('cause you can't tell for sure who will win the matches anymore).

Before the football match between Argentina and Brazil, an Argentinean condom company came up with this ad to show the Brazilians what they were going to do to them.

Brazil won the match and their Football organisation replied with this ad.

Yep guys, Portugal is out . I didn't see the match, only a resume (I had to work, the match beginned at 7:30 here), but they deserve to be out. Why? When they heard the USA was loosing they stopped playing and that's not the attitude I expected from them. And sorry I repeat it, but it is the fault of the stupid coach. If Coelho had stayed, the story would have been another one. But, as used to be said, there is no use crying over spilled milk . As you said Poko, betting on any one is loosing your money, so I will wait to see who are the final four, or at least the final eight and then I believe you can pick a winner .

And Shadoe, I agree about Japan, they showed how you have to play football. With a winning mentality and trying to do their best even if they didn't win. Some of the guys are technically very good and they have speed and more important a team mentality. This is a team i would like to see go to the next round, but Turkey is an unpredictable team. I hope they succeed.

      Cheers,

      El_Matador
