      where is 'www' going?

this article appeared on a news site that I access:

Is the Internet Dream Over? WWW is in the Hands of Few
The original dream of Internet pioneers - to create a free virtual democratic world for everyone - is at stake. 60% of users´ online time is controlled by only 14 big dotcoms. Last year they were 110.
Big companies are taking control of the Net because they can afford lawyers to sue anyone who may use their material online. A simple fan page done by a housewife is seen as copyright infringement and kicked out of the Web.
"There is a role for commer******m. The concern is how the commercial interests might want to change the features of the Internet to better protect themselves", says Law professor Lawrence Lessig from Stanford University.

this makes one think "where is it all going to end?"

    2. That is one thing we should think (and protest) about.
It seems to be that more and more on the I.net will be copyrighted and just for the ones who makes money out of it.
And if you`r not follow there way, you will be sued.

I`ve been on the net since early 96 and when i see whats happening i can only say it`s going to the worse.
