"Error loading the TCP MIB library"

If thats the error message u are getting (see above) . . . . .

If you havent already, check here . . .

I've not encountered the problem - but it appears it happens after installing third party soft.

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Print\Monitors\Standard TCP/IP Port\Ports

The above key (in registry) creates the the port when the spooler service is started (during boot, i would guess)

You can try exporting the key to a .reg file, then edit with notepad, rename the port and the ip address assigned, re-import it back into windows, and restart the computer (or just the spooler service)

I've not had this problem before and cant say if it will work for you. But backup the registry or the key you are going to edit - incase something goes wrong.

Thing is; even if the registry edit solution works for you - at best its good for a shor term solution.

I guess you might have over written some of the files that belong to the TCP MIB library, maybe during installing third party software.

Though you could attempt to re-install/repair SP3 or try removing TCP/IP and reinstallling it (you'd have to remove any NIC TCPIP bindings in the process - can be messy). Though I know people who have tried the above and it hasnt helped.

Try to figure out what u might had installed that could cause the problem, for example hp jet direct printer management software or similar products, maybe.

When u tried removing the Wsnmp32.dll file, did u check if there was another insance of the file somewhere in the winnt directory? You might find that theres one in the dllcache. You might have to remove all instances of it.
