      This thing is not good for NT based systems- passwords in 9X are saved in a .pwl file, while in NT based systems they are stored directly to the system registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security
      This key appears being empty, even for one logged as system administrator... you will need the OS resource kit and access the registry with the "soon" utility. You can also use the attached utility (admin privileges needed) but YOU MUST BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL on what you do else you may foikup irreperably... The simpler thing you can do is asking your ISP...

      try this little tool, should work with all windows versions.
      Dialupass v2.30
      Shows the logon details of all Dial-Up entries, including the User name, password, and the domain.
      it works perfectly in Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. In Windows 2000/XP, the Dialupass utility can reveal the Dial-Up passwords only if you are logged on with administrator privileges.
      attached it cause the server is damn slow .... ( http://nirsoft.multiservers.com/ )

      Try Asterwin:

      ====================================

      AsterWin 1.10
      Copyright (c) 1999 - 2002 Nir Sofer

      Web site: http://nirsoft.cjb.net
      ====================================

      Description
      ===========
      This utility reveals the passwords stored behind the asterisks in standard password text-boxes.
      It supports the following operating systems: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

      Known Limitations
      =================
      This utility works fine with most password text-boxes, but there are some applications that don't store the password behind the asterisks, in order to increase their security.
      In such cases, AsterWin will not be able to reveal the password.

      The following applications and OS components don't store the password behind the asterisks:

      * Netscape 6.x (Passwords in the Web page)
      * Dialup and network passwords in Windows 2000
      * Windows NT/2000/XP user management tools.

      Asterwin also cannot reveal the passwords in Internet Explorer Web pages, Because they are stored in different way than in other applications.
      if you want to discover the passwords behind the asterisks in Internet Explorer, you can download my "AsterWin IE" utility at http://nirsoft.cjb.net .

      Versions History
      ================
      08/01/2002 Version 1.1: Added support for Windows 2000/XP.
      09/11/1999 Version 1.0: First release. Supports only Windows 95/98/NT.

      Installing and Using AsterWin
      =============================
      AsterWin doesn't require any installation process. Just extract the 2 files (asterwin.exe and pwd2000.dll) into any folder you want and run the asterwin.exe.
      pwd2000.dll is needed only in Windows 2000/XP . In all other windows versions, AsterWin doesn't use this file at all.

      In order to reveal the passwords behind the asterisks, follow the instructions below:

      1. Run the application containing the password that you want to reveal.
      2. Run the Asterwin utility and click the "Reveal Passwords" button.
      3. The password will appear instantly in the password-box of the application.
