      MSN Explorer Messenger Problems

Hello, does anyone use MSN EXPLORER? If so, I wonder if you've had similar problems using it on Windows XP? I share a PC with my mum, we both have separate profiles on MSN EXPLORER but when she signs in to use the browser and it launches MSN MESSENGER, after she has finished her session and logged out of the software, it leaves her logged in to MESSENGER. I have been using Windows XP for about 2 months now after upgrading from Windows 2000 Professional and I didn't have this problem on that O/S. Has anybody got a clue how to resolve this issue? I am wondering if it has anything to do with a conflict between MSN MESSENGER and WINDOWS MESSENGER - I'm assuming these are 2 different programs although they do more or less exactly the same thing..... Please help??

Do you each have seperate user accounts ? From what you say I am guessing that you both just use the one account.

I suggest you setup a second user account via the Control Pannel for your Mother's files and settings and retain the original accout for yourself.

One of the good things about XP is the ability to change accounts easily and once you are setup with different accounts it does make sharing a PC pretty easy. To switch users just hold down one of the Windows keys and press 'L' to take you back to the welcome screen.

Of course it will mean that you'll need your own e-mail addresses as you will be able to set up outlook with your own settings and use your accounts as if you had 2 computers.
(Most programs will be available to both of you without needing to install them twice.)
