i've been looking for info on what to type
at the run command to see if if xp is regged
i cat seem to find it i know it goes
somthing like this oobe /a
but need the right command
tried reset5 on sp1 but wanna besure it did its thing

this thread didnt really help bro, its talking about activation and not how to check if its cracked or not, anyone know what tp type in to check if XP is cracked or not?

there was a thread called sticky
dxkim had posted how to make xp corp and so on
but his part of that post is gone
well anyways he had posted what ya had to type @ the run
command
to check your activated status

Try this for the activation page:

%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a
for the second time to verify your activation , you should see "windows is already activated".

yea Howdy that will do it.

or start/programs/accessories/system tools/system information

look for the activation status(should be right under OS manufacturer)

when you run regedit to un reg xp it will say (Activation pending(0 days remaining)

how to un reg has been posted:but maybe it has been booted so.

HAVE A VALID KEY FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windowsNT\Cu rrentVersion\WPAEvents:

double click on oobe Timer change the value of (lets say) the last two entries(cause it don't matter witch one u change) to 00 00

press enter


btw: if you erase the key and don't have a valid one to replace it, don't worry when you reboot the old key will still be there.
this will un-reg key then do as Howdy says(it now will ask you if you want to change the key(yes) reg by phone enter new key.
