      ntfs

      i recently changed from fat 32 to ntfs.I was very pleased with system and my next project in volved updating motherboard and cpu this went well untill i installed hard drive now i can't get computer to see the hard drive with ntfs it sees other hard drive with win98 anybody help? PLEASE

      If you using Win9x/Me you can't see Ntfs partitions. Only win2K/Xp can do that. Only way to access ntfs from win9x is to use winternals utilities (ntfs for win98 or ntfs for dos).

      thanks for help What i was really needing was a wy for my computer to boot from the hard drive with the aforementioned file system.It booted from the previous computer but now there`s nothing.

      if its the same OS....perhaps the drives are in the wrong way round....or....the jumpers are wrong..????
