      Help Upgrading from ME to XP Corp ASAP

      i've had XP On this computer before but the hard drive crashed (my fault) and i have a new hard drive running ME that is starting 2 piss me off (click start i get an error or the taskbar locks up) but now when it gets exactly to 69 mins left while "analyizing your computer" it get a Bluescreen Of Death which says

      Error:OE:0028:c00296fe

      Can any one help me ASAP

      Try this.

      You should always do a clean install, unless your trying to save data, in which case you should back up data to disk and then do a clean install. Try booting from the xp cd and install from there. You will have the option of formatting your drive, choose (Quick)NTFS, and create the partitions you need for the install. I preffer to create a 3GB partition just for windows and intsall all progs into a second partition. Just a suggestion and I hope this helps.

      I would suggest doing a "Level 3" Virus scan before installing anything d/l from Kazza!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Luckily i downloaded Norton Systemworks 2003 just a couple days ago ON KAZAA w/ no virus i also make sure the file size makes sense (i mean who's ever heard of a 400 megabyte virus)

      and probably synmatec programs also
