wide screen

ok bought a 52 inch widescreen, buy a movie for wide format and still has the black bars on top and bott. isnt the purpose of getting the widescreen to eliminate this?

Hi

Have a look in the setup options for the TV, most have a viewin mode option (ie wide, 16.9, 4.3 & 4.3 letterbox)

Most widecreen movies will still have bars at the top & bottom as this is what gives U the wide picture, personally i prefer widescreen with the bars as that way the top & bottom of the picture aint being cropped

thanks man, yea its set to 16.9 wasnt sure if bars were normal on a wide
