apati incompatible dvdr drive

Hi

New to this lark.

just got a computer built for me and got a problem just hoping you can help.

When it boots up it says the primary slave drive in apati incompatible and says press f1 to continue.

the dvd rw works fine but just dont understand what this means and if a need to do anything about it

this could be either incorrectly installed drivers or no drivers installed or a simple case of changing the jumpers around on the backs of the drive from master to slave just incase you have 2 roms or 2 drives set to master or slave on the same channel

drivers sometimes are needed for raid type systems and are found on the mother board disk or downloadable from your motherboard makers home page

It might just need and IDE bus settings reset within BIOS, but please first post the EXACT eroor message, as surely enough it doesn't say either "apati" or "incompatible".
