Ripping and Shrinking with DVDDecrypter and DVD2One

The easy way to rip and shrink a DVD by Gastro

Progs Needed : DVDDecrypter, DVD2ONE, NERO

First of all create a folder on your hard drive and call it FILM, inside this create another folder called MOVIE (easier if you name them like this)
      Load DVDDecryper

      1. Make sure you pick FILE from the MODE menu
      2. All you files should be hightlighted
      3. Browse for your destination folder (FILM)
      4. click on DVD to Hard Drive
Wait 15 mins for your files to be put on hard drive
How to Shrink your DVD to fit on a 4.7gb DVD

      Load up DVD2ONE

make sure the language is English and click NEXT

      1. Choose your source drive (folder called FILM)
      2. Choose Destination (Folder called MOVIE)
      3. make sure these are exactly as you see them here ( the 4440 is critical any higher and it may not fit on a dvd)
      4. Copy Mode set to Full disk and you will get menus/chapters/ extras etc)
      5. Click NEXT

select the audio tracks you want ( any foreign ones you can leave out)

Click Start and wait for 15-20mins for shrinking

Burn the resulting file with NERO or any other dvd writer software

      Burning A DVD with NERO
Open Nero and choose DVD and then DVD Video and then click NEW

Drag and drop all files from your MOVIE folder(1) in to the RED VIDEO_TS folder(2) make sure all the files go in to this folder otherwise the DVD will not work
Make sure that the capacity does not exceed 4500mb ( if you have followed this tutorial it will not exceed this capacity)
      Click BURN
Wait until the dvd is finished and try it out in a stand alone dvd player

YOU should now have a copy of your dvd complete with chapters/extras etc

Good luck with your new venture any probs you know where I am

Thanks for the tutuorial. Very useful. I have encountered a problem during this process. I am getting an error message when burning the DVD using Nero software, and the end result is that the files are out of synch, the start of the DVD is half way through, and the halfway point is at the start. I assume this is a fairly easy/logical error ?

      Thanks

      Dave
